Carol LaMahr and Hans Brehmer
November 19, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 pm — Free
Carol has a relaxed style and a fresh approach to the jazz standards that we all know and love. Her voice has a sound like Julie London, Bonnie Raitt and Norah Jones all in one. Carol shares her smile and warm personality as she delivers her songs with heartfelt emotion and leaving her audience wanting more.
Throughout the years, Carol has sung at local jazz clubs and also for private events. She has worked with esteemed musicians such as Hans Brehmer, Darin Clendenin, Clipper Anderson and Randy Halberstadt, to name a few. She has also appeared at many Northwest jazz venues including Tulas, North City Bistro, Egan’s Ballard Jam House, Demetris Woodstone Taverna, Vovina Martini Bar, Ristorante Pellini and Salty’s on Alki. Carol is active on the Seattle jazz scene and is available for both private parties and club appearances.
Playing with Carol is Hans Brehmer, a gifted composer and arranger - one of the Pacific Northwest’s favorite local musicians and in high demand among many singers in the area. Hans has been playing for over 30 years in the Northwest and is equally at home as a solo pianist or working with everything from small combos to big bands. He has been featured on numerous CD recordings in addition to his own projects. Hans has opened for The Duke Ellington Orchestra, performed with the Everett Symphony, and appeared at such venues as Seattle’s Benaroya Hall and Jazz Alley.
