Learn to make your own tinctures and cocktails at Hotel Sorrento! This workshop, taught by E. Smith Mercantile‘s Jessie Poole, explores (and tastes) the spirits of post prohibition mixology. Beginning with a history of tincturing, bitters, and craft cocktails, this class will include a demonstration on proper infusion techniques, and a tasting of spirits and house infusions. We’ll review the proper tools and mixing techniques with hands-on instruction for building the cocktail of your dreams. Leave with knowledge of how to deconstruct classic cocktails, and add a new spin using signature flavors for your own unique beverage.
Each class includes demonstration, recipes, cocktail tasting, and a cocktail.
