The Sorrento is more than a bastion of hospitality for visitors. Since the very beginning, Seattle’s most invigorated minds and outsized talents—poets and playwrights, opera singers and burlesque stars—have found inspiration and audiences under our roof.

These days, the Fireside Room and the Top of the Town bustle with regularly scheduled lectures, readings, musical performances and eclectic events that transcend easy description.

Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce

DIFFA (Design Industries Fighting Aids)

DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS is one of the country’s largest supporters of direct care for people living with HIV/AIDS and preventive education for those at risk. Merging care and commerce, supporters of DIFFA come from all fields of fine design and the visual arts, including: architecture, fashion design, interior design, photography and consumer product design.

Elliot Bay Book Company

Located in the heart of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood business district, The Elliott Bay Book Company is a full service bookstore, home to over 150,000 titles, set on cedar shelves in a multi-level, inviting unique atmosphere.

Frye Art Museum

Located on Seattle’s First Hill, the Frye Art Museum first opened its doors in 1952 as the legacy of Charles and Emma Frye, prominent early-twentieth century Seattle business leaders and art collectors.

Since that time, works from the Frye Founding Collection of late-nineteenth and early-twentieth-century European paintings have continuously been on view. The Museum also hosts notable exhibitions of works by internationally renowned and emerging artists, as well as extensive public programs.

Historic Seattle

Historic Seattle is a public development authority established by city ordinance in 1974.

Northwest Film Forum
